This Privacy Policy explains how CronPinger (operated by Bartosz Sosna, "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you subscribe to our newsletter. We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Email address (required) - to send you the newsletter
First name (optional) - to personalize emails
Subscription date and IP address - for GDPR audit trail (double opt-in confirmation)

We do not collect any other personal data. We do not use cookies or analytics trackers on this website.

We use the Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns on Facebook/Instagram. The Meta Pixel collects anonymous usage data (page views, conversions) and is subject to Meta's Privacy Policy. No personal data from this pixel is shared with third parties beyond Meta Platforms, Inc.

3. Why We Collect It and Legal Basis

We process your data solely to send you the CronPinger newsletter. The legal basis for this processing is your explicit consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given when you check the consent box and confirm your subscription via the double opt-in email.

4. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to:

Send you the CronPinger newsletter
Manage your subscription (including processing unsubscribe requests)

We will never sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Data Processors

We use the following services to operate the newsletter:

Sendy (self-hosted newsletter software) - installed on our own server in the EU
Amazon Web Services (AWS SES) - used for email delivery. AWS acts as a data processor under a Data Processing Agreement. AWS infrastructure used is located in the EU (Frankfurt region).

Both services process your email address only for the purpose of sending the newsletter.

6. Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as you remain subscribed to the newsletter. When you unsubscribe, your email address is removed from our active list. Backup data is deleted within 30 days of unsubscribing.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

Right of access - you can request a copy of the data we hold about you
Right to rectification - you can ask us to correct inaccurate data
Right to erasure - you can ask us to delete your data at any time
Right to data portability - you can request your data in a machine-readable format
Right to withdraw consent - you can withdraw your consent at any time (see below)
Right to lodge a complaint - you can complain to the supervisory authority in your country (in Poland: UODO - uodo.gov.pl)

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. Our server is secured with HTTPS (TLS). Access to subscriber data is limited to the newsletter operator (Bartosz Sosna).
